Christine had pneumococcal menigitis not once but twice and survived both times. First time she managed a full recovery as she was treated very quickly and was only in a coma for a few days. The second time however she was not found for two days and hence was left badly brain damaged and had to have a tracheoctomy and was unable to talk walk and had to be found a good place to be cared for. She lasted for afurther 18 months and then died on september 17th 2010 of Pnuemonia. Her disabled daughter Annabel died 3 days after she had been buried at sea. So they are now both reunited together in a place where they can both be free happy and have less pain and suffering.
